In Vortex 3.5 there is a new Footer Widget which allows you to insert column seperated content in a horizontal panel just above the footer.
To activate this, open the "Footer" tab in the Control Panel and select "Enable Footer Widget". That alone will NOT make the footer widget show up because you first need to go to Widgets (WP-admin/Appearance/Widgets), and place some content in the footer widgets of which there are four (all numbered 1-4).
You can feature any normal WordPress widget, or any plugin widget, or any html content (including videos) by selecting a "Text" widget to paste your content within it and then assign it to whichever footer widget you choose.
So you can have 1 section or 2 or 3 or 4, simply by populating the widget with content.
