Sidebar/SidePanel,- What's The Difference
The Sidepanel is the area on the right of the featured gallery which displays the three main text headlines (1) Attention headline, (2) Description, (3) Flashing text, plus the optin form/html display area below.
The "featured" SidePanel is an added area that displays directly under the main default sidepanel display and can be control via the "Featured SidePanel" widget in the widget area (wp-admin/appearance/widgets). The Sidebar (as found in all WP themes) is the area that you find on default page templates on the right hand side (unless you use the "full page one column" page template the stretches the main page area right across to the right side border of the page and eliminates the sidebar. The sidebar area is typically used to display widgets for page menus, categories, site meta, tags, calenders or whatever you want to show. In VORTEX you have the option to create a wide variety of different sidebar content widgets using the "15 Custom Widget" function in the widget area. This means you could have a different sidebar showing for different pages on your site which is great for custom landing pages, member pages, CPA offers or anything you could imagine! |
